We are slowly getting there - we have most of the clothing picked out and washed ready to go. Doing a final washing today and a little bit of running around - later tonight or tomorrow everything will actually make it into the suitcases.
The suitcases are standing by in the room beside the bed waiting to be packed - we are still not sure if we are taking them all or using the smaller ones as carry
on's but we will see once we start putting things in the suitcases and getting weighed. The biggest concern is the difference in the international and domestic weight restrictions.
Luckily we can leave some luggage in Beijing for when we return. Anyway the objective is to move everything on the bed into the suitcases well within our weight restriction - except for Brandy who is still insisting on sleeping on the bed in the top right corner.

Have you considered packing one of the small suitcases inside an empty big suitcase? That way you can use it to bring stuff back...

I think you are allowed to 50 lb bags each, plus 2 carry ons each...
