Arrived In Beijing

We took Sarah on her first plane ride this morning and she did wonderfully. She fell asleep as we were taxiing for the take-off and slept for an hour. When she woke up she had something to eat then played on Daddy's knee for the rest of the flight - luckily it was only just over 2 hours. We were met at the airport and taken to the hotel where we were met by the director, Yulin, of our agency. She already had our room tickets and she told us were we could get some dinner if we wanted.
We settled into the room - which is extremely nice and then headed out to pick up dinner to take back to the hotel since we were all a little tired. Since Sarah loved her spaghetti so much last night, we decided on Pizza Hut - it was nice and close by and we were curious as to how close it was to home's Pizza Hut. As you can see Sarah loved her spaghetti once again and has the typical 2 year old eating style - she really, really wants to feed herself with her spoon, but sometimes resort to her hands if too many attempts with the spoon are unsuccessful.
I had to get this shot of her trying to clean her plate - she had quite a bit and we actually had to do a switch with Daddy's plate since his was empty or I think she may have eaten until she busted. This picture was just too cute to pass up.
Sarah had to be distracted in the end to play with her cups so we could get the spaghetti plate away and she was very happy to play for a while - then we had a nice bath were she played with her cups once again and poked around all the different things in the bathtub - she is very curious about everything. Then she took a nice big bottle from Daddy and is now fast asleep in her crib - another long and exciting day for her - she is so great about everything considering all the changes we keep throwing at her.
Tomorrow we have to be up early for a group photo session, then some paperwork, then it's off to the Beijing Zoo for the afternoon. From what we could see, the weather in Beijing is suppose to be good this week so we should have good Zoo weather tomorrow.

  1. I love the picture of her cleaning the spaghetti plate. She appears to be smiling more and more. Looking forward to seeing you when you get home.

  2. More great pictures. Sounds like the girl knows how to eat! I hope you enjoyed Pizza Hut - we ate there a lot when we were in China!
